RE:RE:salary

RE:RE:salary@Redfox thank you first of all for the numbers. The total compensation is not a secret, it is currently at 2,33 M USD for Ricus. If you have a further look you will see Steven Molnar and Yan Bourassa each receiving around 600k. So if now you compare the compensation to the current company valuation there is no discussion that these seem (!) to be too high. But thats the same thing with every company in a cyclical bottom: I was an investor in Sibanye Stillwater and know the CEO, a very good guy. The stock traded at around 1/5 of the price it has right now 2 years ago and at the time his salary (2 M USD) seemed too high for some. Now the valuation is up and everyone says its adequate. Even worse for a company I invested in short term this April: Ovintiv. As (unfortunately) usual in E&P business, managements get payed a lot too much, the CEO gets around 12 M USD/year (!). And that management there is not even performing, not by far. But I bought the stocks at the bottom of 2.50 USD and sold them at 10.10 USD last week. So what you learn out of it: First: I am hopefully not naive :) Second: I would call it naive to get "married" to a cyclical stock, ride it all the way from the top to the bottom and then be angry and complain. @Firecracker is perfectly right: this stock moves with zinc prices, TC charges and the things that will change the company in the next months. And the latter might change valuation big time. A lot of guys are angry with their cyclical investments at Ovintiv as well, having bought it at 80 USD, riding it all the way through 2 (!) USD with it being now at around 9 USD again....complaining about "fraudster management" and all that. But in the end: if you re right or wrong about management compensation does not matter for the next months or 2 years. If zinc stay at this level and TC costs go down for 2021, just follow the calculations of firecracker: this stock will quadruple at least. And everyone THEN will say: management compensation seems to be adequate :) So dont be angry and frustrated about having bought TV at the wrong time my friend. You were wrong with your zinc market evaluation and Ricus has nothing to do with that. So be a little bit more friendly (also to yourself), we all make mistakes and no-one wants sth bad from anyone in this forum, so lets chat politely.
