tve far superior value compared to ath

I can completely see why Eric N exited ATH.  Not that it isn't a great company (management stuck to their plan and executed perfectly), but the metrics just don't provide the value in holding ATH shares versus a company like TVE.

If you look at production volumes, reserves, and cost per barrel efficiency, even taking the debt of TVE into account, any analyst would expect TVE to have a MarketCap 50-80% higher than ATH, in my opinion.

Current Marketcap of TVE is 2.3b, and ATH is 3.1b.

Nothing against ATH, but WAY MORE value to unlock here in TVE.  Remember, it's the next 12 months that counts, not the past 12 months!

Cheers

When Tamarack Valley Energy has 499,999,999 in debt the stock is going to 8 bucks. This could be in 6 to 8 months. I expect major progress on their debt this year and 75% execution on their NCIB at least.  We might even see a cash balance on their balance sheet in Q4 2024. $20,000,000 EST. ATH has and has cash.

It would be great if you're correct in this $8/share prediction, but let's be realistic, why would the elimination of $485m in debt result in a $2 Billion increase in marketcap?  Are investors seriously this allergic to deb? even when debt payments are far and above covered by cash flow? Debt shouldn't be viewed so negatively. This company is worth WAY more than Athabasca. Not ...more

1. 37000 bpd heavy oil 2. 86% of 63000 bpde is oil 3. Huge Torque the next 8 months 4. Reduction of debt sub 500m cad means all cash flow goes to us including the dividend. At that point debt repayment stops and TVE is deleveraged. Let me repeat --- DELEVERAGED  8 bucks at SUB 500M DEBT is reasonable to me.  ML

I appreciate the ongoing analysis you provide .. helps bring perspective I was doing a very rough comparison of cashflows for TVE against MEG and ATH.  I was using the data on the Globe and Mail website so I am not sure how current/reliable it is but is shows the following:                     ...more

I appreciate all the commentary as well, purchased more this am and hope the predictions come true, it really is time for management to deliver the goods to shareholders , TVE shares are lower then they were a year ago even though debt has been paid down and some shares bought back ,TMX is on the cusp of being a factor , WCS/WTI/FX all favourable, it seems investors simply don't have ...more
