Golf Industry Jan Revenue

All regions across the country experienced growth in revenues over January 2021. The eastern half of the country experienced tremendous increases over January 2021 with Ontario leading at 63.2%, Quebec at 50.4% and Atlantic at 60.1%. While some COVID restrictions for restaurants and indoor recreation remain in place in these provinces at the start of 2022, businesses are not in full lockdown like in January 2021 which likely accounts for the significant increases seen in these regions.   The western half of the country also saw double-digit increases in revenues in January. British Columbia’s revenue increase of 19.4% compared to its decrease in number of transactions would suggest that average sale per transaction has increased over January 2021. The opposite can be said for Alberta where transaction numbers have grown dramatically over January 2021 while revenues show a moderate growth year-over-year at 13.8%. The moderate growth seen in both revenues and transactions for the Prairie region can most likely be attributed to the easing of capacity and indoor recreation restrictions.

What do these numbers relate to given weather closures in Jan in most of the country?
