No response to Bill 162 from Halton.
In a letter dated February 23, 2024, Minister Calandra advised of the changes proposed to municipal official plans through Bill 162 and requested feedback from the impacted municipalities. A copy of Minister Calandra’s letter is provided as Attachment #4 to this report. The proposed changes are also posted to the Environmental Registry of Ontario (ERO #019-8273) with the commenting period closing on March 21, 2024. Regional staff are not recommending making an ERO submission, but are working with Local Municipal staff to review the proposed changes and provide support as requested.
