txp vs Recon

Anyone have thoughts which looks better at this stage?   I own alot of txp....but had Recon on watch list  thx

So much depends on if they hit or not, doesn't it ? RECO has a ton of cheap stock out and corresponding cheap, in the money warrants. It's the antithesis of a tight deal ! It's also an all or nothing play, goes big or goes to zero and those shareholders above will be managing that risk, or should be.

On top of goa's comments, lets say they hit on all three of their wells.  What do they do if they find gas versus oil? Oil atleast could be trucked, however gas has a risk of becoming a stranded asset. In an oil scenario, they still have massive logistics challenges. Its not like their is a storage depot for their oil at the railway line 140 miles away. If the oil needs to be ...more

Goaweigh....i wrote Vince Marciano who reviewed txp back in March at .70 and Reco.....his response was almost duplicate of your comment on Reco.....which he says they have 3 holes ....to drill....its either zero or $10.....great minds think alike....He said txp greatly de risked and a solid play going forward.....again thanks goaweigh for your thoughts

Feels like comparing a minivan with a F150?  Not really the same beasts and both are great at what they do but rubbish at the others virtues. TXP for all the excitement are really continuing their fundamental strategy of drilling near existing wells. Maybe post Royston it will get more exotic but I hope not. PB is here to make money not become a "TSX Rock Star" and that ...more
