TXP is not the first energy exploration company to strike out on a promising drilling site, the important thing is how do they recover. The only thing i disagreed with was testing the "unfavourable" sites first and then moving to the possible best sites, I think it should have been the other way around. 
If I was CEO and had some bad news to release and some good news, I would release the "bad news" first and then follow with the good news, I expect we will hear about the "cheques" starting to roll in very shortly! PS I am "hanging in"!

even if they tested the "possible best sites" first, wouldnt the current results still be the same? Perhaps the pump rig can still get this thing to 200/300 bbl/d? I believe they are being cautious with their "language" going fwd on Royston but they certainly would not have drilled deeper this time if the first one didnt show some good potential? My thought was if you concentrated on the "possible best sites" and struck out, why spend more time and money drilling on the periphery to find "possible dead sites"? Spend your time and money on your next best site. Keep in mind that I am not a CEO or an engineer!

As a longtime shareholder I realize that the CEO isn't responsible for drill results as they are what they are. However Baay has continually overstated the potential of this Trinidad play over the past three plus years. He's had to rely on a small time paid news source to spread his message because there's no serious energy analysts covering this story. I shouldn't be criticizing

Some may disagree with that.  What analyst is going to waste their time with an energy stock in Trin producing 1k bbl/day or so with no meaningful budget to drill and grow this thing? That's called a penny stock. You have few options other than to promote it yourself. He went to the AIM and raised money to exploit some growth opportunities. The only positive that I can see is,no insider selling but they are all believers.Perhaps Paul can pull a rabit out of the hat but it isn't going to be this year.
