why is US Silver hiding the voting numbers? From yahoo board:
<They made it sound like our votes wouldn't matter with the amount that was "for" the merger.>
Of course that is what they WANT you to think. They need 2/3 majority to approve it. Sprott has 14% and insiders account for not a whole lot. Maybe 18% is locked up. That means they need the other 48% to come from the remaining 82% of shares. They need almost 60% of YOUR votes to go forward.
RX is even harder as Sprott only owns 8% there. Their shareholders were asked to take a big hit and went from over .35 to .25 in a heartbeat. Instead of going up with your premium... how would you vote if the price of USSIF dropped under a buck and you were told it was in your best interests?
This is far from a done deal. They will need to make a convincing argument to get it approved. If they can't (or won't) do this then I think it gets shot down narrowly by USSIF shareholders and overwhelmingly by RXEXF shareholders. It is unconscionable they haven't released the vote totals for BOD. They were probably retained by such an embarrassing margin that they don't want to let you know you have the power to nix the combination. You should demand the results and not let them get away with "by a show of hands".
