One imagines the little gnomes who spew garbage most of the time, have spent the weekend digesting the latest VET report and realised that this company is a winner. Expect more as it sinks in with more of them.

Brian Acker on Market Call this morning says he would not be buying any oil & gas companies at the moment. He says he is very bullish on the price of oil but thinks the expense will far outweigh the increase in price. He made the comment that if someone told him oil would go to $300/bbl he could believe that but at the same time he would think the expense would be $400/bbl so they cannot make ...more

I think Mr. Acker is spinning a bit of BS... if the O&G companies can't make any money, then how does he explain record levels of FCF in most, if not all of them..???  LOL.

He claimed that a couple of years ago he was saying load up the boat on oil companies but now he says do not buy?? His top picks were the U.S. dollar UUP, a treasury bond ETF in U.S. dollars, and a Sprott Gold ETF, saying the gold play would be a hedge against the dollar play because they usually do not go up together. Everything you see on BNN is propaganda to manipulate clueless investors. If a person took the opposite trade provided by many "analysts" providing recommendation on these platforms, they would probably be ahead in the majority of their investments.

Slightly off topic but in keeping with another remark he made: The Federal Budget is due out on March 28th in the hands of Chrystia Freeland. He remarked we could expect a way more tax. I can likely agree with him there. What are the odds she and JT will hit the capital gains tax? Probably push it back to 67%? Hopefully not all the way back to 75% as it was in the 1990's.
