Tactical Fact about a Russian Invasion

Look at the Calendar and look at the night sky. NO invasion of any country has happened until a New Moon occurs. Even Nepoleon knew this. This will be on March 02. Secondly, the Dnieper River is still frozen but will start its thaw in a few weeks. Russia needs the river to be frozen solid otherwise they are restricted to Open lines of travel such as roads which makes them as an invading force vulnerable.
If this does not go down the first week of March, it wont happen. Putin is playing diplomat for now and buying time until it suits the Russians to have the tactical advantage. If Russia still sitting on the border by March 10, it will be too late for them tactically. If that happens, Putin looks like a hero from preventing Ukraine from joining Nato and everyone goes home. Preventing Ukraine from Joining Nato is Putins only play.

My bet, no invasion. Invasion and sanctions bad for all. VET will remain volatile, easy guess.

The Russian buildup is to achive 2 things. Force the implementation of Minsk agreements and destabilize NATO. It has already achived that. NATO will break up and this is when it started. That is pretty much the only ...more

Do you really believe that anyone north of the Mediterranean Sea is going to count on those cheese eating surrender monkies? " France will provide the Nuclear deterrent." The more Putin messes with Europe the more Europe sees they cannot count on Russia for anything...especially Oil and Gas. Nordstream 2 will be the biggest tin can telephone line in history if he keeps stirring the ...more

NATO doesn't want Ukraine as member. Maybe before they gave up all their nuclear weapons, but not now. They bring nothing but grief to the table. The Russians are using the classic strategy of claiming they are protecting ethnic Russians. This is the same excuse Britain used for keeping troops in N. Ireland, Turkey in Cyprus, China in Tibet and Israel in West Bank.     The ...more

What a load of $#@#.    Germans invaded Poland began on September 1, 1939.   New Moon phase began September 13, 1939.    Operation Barbarossa (invasion of Russia).  Began June 22, 1941.   New Moon June 24, 1941. So, wrong on the first two dates I looked at. Let's fact check on the Napoleon reference.  Invasion of Russia: June 24, 1812.  ...more

LOL, yup the Russian army need the river frozen because the army couldn't build bridges in about 6 hours. The army had floatation bridges 40 years ago. LOL, put the pipe down. They may even have a missle that can go over the water. Too funny
