Why would any coroner store owner be upset when the local protection racket tells you at the start of the year that their cut from your efforts will be "x". You say okay.  But then when they see you succeeding.... they drop by and demand an additional $223 million. Should a store owner ever forget that.

I guess that would depend on whether the corner store owner sold his goods in a neighbourhood where the people also paid the local protection racket protection money too and for actually selling their inventory from their local backyards.  It might make a difference if the local store owner got his inventory by collecting it in the backyards of the people he was selling it to and if he marked ...more
