The last paragraph of your post sums it up in my opinion. Kinross will do what is in their best interest and that would be to to acquire Victoria as cheaply as they can.

I think all of the recent insider action is a prelude to Kinross making a move on Victoria in the near term, probably the next six months to a year. The native tribal agreement is a huge milestone and they need that for the project to proceed. That was the event that caused me to buy shares after all these years.

The dilution of Victorias share structure makes them vulnerable and Kinross will ride to the rescue as they did with Bema. The big ones eating the little ones. Like Jim Sinclair has said, JV's with majors is like swimming with sharks.
