RE:Short Trading Activity During March And AprilDoumDiDoum wrote: Hi, I prepared a report about the short trades activity during the months of March and April. With the fantastic increase in the SP we had last week, I was curious about what the shorters did but the data is not yet available. With the data from March and April, it would be interesting to compare the short activity when data ffrom May 1st to 15th will be available next week.
VGCX | | | | | |
| Period | Short Sale Trades | Short Traded Volume | Number Of Shares |
| April 16th to 30th | 1548 (21.973 %) | 455497 (22.527%) | 497293 (+230277) |
| April 1st to 15th | 701 (16.193 %) | 154975 (12.528%) | 267016 (+38366) |
| March 16th to 31st | 1551 (25.687 %) | 293616 (20.524%) | 228650 (-52610) |
| March 1st to 15th | 1557 (25.247 %) | 294755 (18.903%) | 281260 (+132171) |
Note that it's always fun to correlate the high short trading activity period with the high presence of negative comments on bullboards: it helps identify who might have a shorting strategy... just saying! ;-)

You can have an idea on shorting volumes for the month of May by checking the US data (link below).
The "newsletter investors" will get burned on this one, that is the point I am trying to make here for days.
The disconnect between the stock price and field performance is obvious.
As for posting the factual information (interpreted as "negative" by some) in an effort to drop the share price is laughable. What we post here has zero influence on stock price. Big players are in charge of this game...
