Nick, you must understand the reference point of honeybadger + a LONG TIME holder that has not fared/faired lol well. The posts really are about trying to make himself feel like it will be okay ( eventually) As even when the mine was running for YEARS basically trouble free albeit, mediocre, well below ozs per year study, not a cash machine and importantly did not do well as a stock/share price for him. SO he will attack any varying opinion or input of anyone else. Comment by

It's not a short attack, it's the following:
- a single asset mining company experienced a catastrophic failure of their heap leach pad
- their operations are shut down
- there is likely a huge amount of environmental damage and consequent remediation bill
- the company has debt instead of assets
- the company has no current income
- the president turned off his phone, hasn't been seen in public, and hasn't made a statement
Of course people are going to short it, and highlight the negatives (which are all facts). If you think the shorts are incorrect, then buy the stock, it's an opportunity.
As for trading, a long halt would be unfair to people who own the stock and want to sell it; the trading halt is just to make sure that everyone has the same information, and that some don't benefit from earlier access to news. It's not a guarantee that you will have all the data you need to make a decision about what to do.
