scratching aroundThey've been scratching the surface for quite some time. I think developing a voice recognition system for computers is an incredibly difficult thing to achieve, let alone at a price a potential customer would want to pay. It would have to enter the market at a competitive price vis a vis traditional communication. That part of technology development at VQS (VIQ) is a long way away from getting to market if ever. I have to admire their persistance if ever they achieve a breakthrough in voice command technology and perfect it they will deserve to be hansomely rewarded. It's a tough row to hoe. One only has to consider how many languages there are in the world, just getting the technology to recognise english in it's many dialects and accents a daunting challenge in itself .
If memory serves me correctly I think VQS systems are used in court houses in Florida.
The HP of Canada and the HP of Denmark. At one time they had a network in the US to market, and sell their products i don't know what happened to that .
As you can tell I have not followed VQS's fortunes, at least the goals remain the same even after all this time.
To all you chickens remember the fox is out there somewhere.
