RE:RE:RE:CIBC mkts & 'levers '

RE:RE:RE:CIBC mkts & 'levers 'It did not hurt me. I bought at $18 and 90% of my holdings a lot higher up starting at $39. They must have done something right.
Oil will not be at be under $45 forever so perhaps aquisions at these levels would be accretive longer term. But when they do.... at the time of an aquisition it is usually accretive imediately or by the following year so if commodity prices subsequently decline they would still be better off as result of doing an aquisition rather than not....because it was accretive to cash flow. This industry make sense to under take aquisitions given the need for high working intersts, land positions, application of technolgy and knowledge of resevoirs and just plain and simple economies of scale. So I am not so dismissive and inclined to say an equity issue is always dilutive contrary to what I hear all the time on these BBs.
