I don’t know what you used for sources.
The EIA should be a reputable source I would think.

According to them the Average USD Spot Prices for WTI at Cushing;
 
Oct 2015 = $46.22
Nov 2015 = $42.44
Dec 2015 = $37.21
 
Added up and divided by 3 = $41.96   Average Spot Price for Q4 2015
