A buy by Eric Nutall.

As ChickenLittle posted on Dec. 4, Eric Nutall bought 14 million shares of CPG in the last few weeks once he had clarification on managements plans going forward.

My guess is that he spent $77 million on those 14,000,000 shares.  That's a vote of confidence.

We have come a long way from March 2020 at sub $1.00. Eric buying at mid $5 range has to be encouraging.  They have committed to ongoing balance sheet repair.  I assume changed management compensation from share dilution.  Not popular at all.  Ongoing debt reduction, share buybacks that will continue in 2022+ and a dividend that will grow and attract income seekers, is very ...more

First of all I didn't realize we had to want to $uck on Bryskas bobo to be a member of the forum.....how does that taste anyway? Second.....if you assume they're gonna change the way they reward themselves with shares/warrants then you obviously have a very short memory or haven't been around CPG very long. Look no further than the recent performance bonuses they got when the share ...more

---------------------------- reading between the lines .. they got thier credit terms pushed out  till 2025....so they had to impress the bank ... IE no NCIB ... no extra div... now that  it is pushed out they can start giving back.. and will also probably add to thier nest as well..  this is an important point that maybe some have missed... they have some breathing room and got ...more

Yup 14 million large in just a week and now he says it's a buy. I wouldn't be surprised if he's selling now lol. He's been known to pull that stunt before. I sold a bit myself yesterday at $5.58......was thinking we might see a pullback after those big gains over a couple days. I'm wrong so far but this thing almost always pulls back eventually.

In my experience a "Buy" recommendation from Nuttall is pretty much the kiss of death. I agree with you when he's telling everyone to buy he is in all likelihood dumping all the shares he has - go to create a market to sell in to. I'm willing to bet if you do the exact opposite of what he suggests you will probably do quite well. Rusty

If Eric Nuttall started acting like that, he'd lose his power.  His arguement is that returns will be generous and that this is "a generational" opportunity.  If he sold off major positions for 15% profit it would undermine his argument to the bone.  He said he expects a 12% div for next year.

You don,t. Just a comment from a CPG bull.  Obviously you are bitter and must be shorting hard,  to each their own.  So you are telling me CPG is the only company that rewards management through shares bonuses etc?  Wow.  I have been a holder for 10 plus years.  You are wrong they have but albeit recently changed their performance compensation.  Why do you think ...more

Bitter.......maybe a little.......shorting.......don't even own a margin account. I don't recall saying CPG was the only company that rewards themselves with shares.......not sure where you got that from my statement. Let's see some proof of where they've changed their preformance compensation.......I don't recall reading it in the last quarterly earnings and I don't see it ...more

I'm happy if the management has a reward structure that pays them out shares when the SP hits certain milestones.  It's the right kind of incentive.
