Whitecap Resources Inc. is a Canadian clean energy company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing, and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Montney resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. Kaybob is located in the Fox Creek region of Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Duvernay resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. The PRA is its original asset area. RE:RE:RE:RE:Happy and disappointedWhatever your definition of a "generalist" is the fact remains that most funds follow the trend " buy the dips and sell the rallies" and that keeps the valuations of the small and medium size oil producers suppressed. As for the CPP selling, I am not sure that is the cause of the sell off at the end of the day. I know that pension funds are regulated by Federal legislation and the board of trustees have to follow the Fed's guidelines, as to how much and where they will deploy the funds. But CPPIB has more leeway to invest funds at their decretion vis-a-vis other pension funds. And how do we know if they are done selling? Just asking.
