Whitecap Resources Inc. is an oil-weighted growth company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Montney resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. Kaybob is located in the Fox Creek region of Northwest Alberta. Really?

Shorts covered 3,287,000 shares in the first two weeks of October (as the share price went up).  I expect you and your firm were buying to cover your shorts.

Short position in WCP is down to 14,016,000 shares on October 15, 2022. Still a pretty large number.  And with an increasing dividend it becomes more expensive to carry these shorts.

Despite your post, I expect you and your firm to keep buying WCP and minimize your losses by reducing your short position.
