Next week looking good!

Lots to like about this week coming up.  Should be an exceptional financial report on the 27th, looking forward to a possible  dividend increase sooner than expected, maybe a special dividend (TVE did it).
I think we'll see a reasonable bump before Thursday. Don't get me wrong, we had a really good second quarter report and after the July 28th report, we went downhill starting the next day, however, oil also had a $10.00 pull back at the same time.  I think we are in better shape than ever with mid 80s oil  and the present stock price so I'm really liking how next week is shaping up.

My wife and I are very positive on WCP.  However I do not expect an "exceptional" report this Thursday.  WTI averaged about US$91 in Q3 compared to US$108 in Q2.  Yes we had more production and the lower Canadian dollar did benefit WCP (and other Canadian oil producers) in Q3 ...more

I think it will be better than "OK", but, we'll wait until Tuesday.  I do agree WCP will hit. $15.00 before the end of next year though.  I am however expecting we hit $12.00 before the middle of November.  I'm not projecting any substantial increase on Friday unless thay announce something we were'nt expecting.   GLTA

Part of the theee amigos here !!  I agree with both of you.  I am more in the camp if oil stays above 80 with the US dollar where it is , we could hit 15 before Feb 28.      I remember Gamble likes that time of year as well.   So my call will be with the caveat that oil remain around these levels dollar range bound we hit 15 before next May so half way point of 23.  ...more

Sell now... you've been warned.

Bobby, can you explain your position? I think everyone's open to different points of view but I need to understand why you feel the way you do.

BobbyNugget wrote "...Sell now... you've been warned. ..." Really? Shorts covered 3,287,000 shares in the first two weeks of October (as the share price went up).  I expect you and your firm were buying to cover your shorts. Short position in WCP is down to 14,016,000 shares on October 15, 2022. Still a pretty large number.  And with an increasing dividend it becomes ...more

My two cents (FYI, I own 12000 shares of WCP). I would actually tend to agree with Bobby's sentiment, at least in the short term. There's really been no impetus for the share price appreciation over the past couple of weeks (aside from perhaps short covering), and it's frankly a better time to buy when the short position is expanding not contracting (assuming there isn't some ...more
