Reason, why I'm not selling.

On the 20th of May, Grant Fagerheim bought around 12k shares on-market at roughly CA$9.95 per share. In the last 3 months, there was an even bigger purchase from another insider worth CA$291k. Grant has been a buyer over the last 12 months, purchasing a net total of CA$1.3m worth in shares.

I completely agree with you that this is an excellent sign in that the insiders have a very confident view of the company. That said I think movement is going to be relatively slow. WCP pays a decent dividend but it's not a "dividend" stock. I'm looking for both WCP and CPG to hit north of 20 bucks and to do that, I think there needs to be some very meaningful increases in the ...more

I agree and disagree with what's going on at Whitecap. Yes Grant bought 12,000 shares, big deal, what's more disturbing is that 2 other insiders sold large amounts of shares totalling more than a million dollars in the first week of May. Why would they sell? Is Grant's small purchases a smoke screen? I should have sold and bought Cardinal when I had the chance. At this point I'm ...more
