RE:The Pot Stock Boom was Mostly Empty Hype
This is true in the Canadian market but not in the US market. The companies there are already profitable and banking NET profit. The top 3 companies in the US have more sales than the entire Canadian market combined. The Canadian Market is small. One state in the US is bigger than the Canadian market. EBITDA margins are 40% in the US companies. The Canadian companies were mostly started by amateur business men and women. They can't compete. The US companies are highly focused of EBITDA growth and NET earnings. The companies balance sheets are refreshing compared to the Canadian companies. There are companies in the US that have real earnings EPS earnings. most trade at 5-7x next year's EBITDA projections. unbelievably cheap for growing companies. They also have growth rates Q over Q some at 30% most at least 10-15% q over q growth. Just to put that into perspective the S&P which are thought to be strong companies have growth rates of 3.5% per year not quarter.

It's only a matter of time before this changes. A couple more quarters of this growth in the US will be too hard to ignore
