RE:Trump Would Leave MJ to States

RE:Trump Would Leave MJ to StatesThis isn't a Biden issue. Even if he had it on the docket in the first 100 days, or tomorrow, or next Spring, he wouldn't have the required support in the Senate (from Republicans, not Dems). And an executive order would either be useless (Supreme Court would strike it down) and/or politically perilous (Mitch McConnel and Fox News would jump on it as another example of "authoritarian overreach).

Biden isn't the problem. Red states dragging their heels on legalization and Republican Senators blocking every potential Dem/Biden win are, by far, the biggest political barriers to legalization.

And there's no guarantee this would even be a popular issue for Trump - 72% of Dems want full legalization, but only 47% of Repubs do, and there's no way this is a big enough single issue to bring dems to his side. I appreciate your posts here and don't want to drag politics into this, but this is the on the ground truth.

Biden has done little more than waffle and he should have had this issue on the docket in his first 100days.

It does not matter whether these politicians like the product or don't they need to provide legislation to end all the uncertainty and the continued growth and support of the criminal element, especially the cartels that Biden, Holder and Obama have support since they were in the WH.

Trump needs the legalization for the indusrty to take root in the US and kill the cartel activity or at least severly curtail the illegal market...Trump is the business guru among politicians and he will separate from the emotional side and see the industry is set up and operating in the best possible manner. As it looking like he will be back in the Oval in the not to distant future...the current path to state control is way to far along now. JMHO...Opt
