All of the greatness that Canopy once showedhas been putty in the hands of marketmakers with ulterior motive.
Canopy's assets. all cleaned up and leaned out, as well as lucrative deals will go to the receivor and the lender STZ has first choice at what is of value which will consume all that is left.
If Canopy follows through on the Acreage deal (which I think they will) they will be trading shares at the value of the deal that they inked but those shares of Canopy will be a tenth of what they once were. Don't forget, for all intents and purposes that to complete the Canopy and Acreage rto deal already had a consolidation proposal inked such that they set the value at about a half and a third such that Canopy put up 1 share for 2 of Acreage A and 1 for 3 of the Acreage B class shares. Same effect as a consolidation, compounded by a consolidation which pretty much wipes out your investment if you are an Acreage shareholder, either class.
Constellation STZ had a pretty meteoric rise, possibly because of these creative deals they do, to happen sometime in the future or not happen as a failsafe. They do like to revisit deals to get better value and now that this consolidation proposal has been triggered, those affected have been hit by an atom bomb and STZ shareholders will reap the spoils.\
I am guessing that they will miraculously take the spoils and turn them to great profits while lining up to slop at the trough one more time, for a job well done.
It appears to be more of a dastardly deal, pulled off by unscrupulous moneymen working as marketmakers controlling every narrative and the bank account.
The first group of screwed over investors will probably never invest anything they have left but STZ investors will because STZ got the whole cookie that Canopy, Acreage and STZ would have benefited from if Klein took Canopy and Acreage along for the ride.
Canopy and Acreage have been cleaned up into nice little packages with a terrible story to back the terrible value that I believe had great effort put into tanking these companies for future benefit of the chosen few.
Lawyers will be lining up! Wait for it!
