Sad day for Smiths Falls :(
Well that sucks...We were the first and I hate to see the flagship go down. The town of Smiths Falls was willing to accept this industry when NO one else would touch it...Thanks Bruce! They were welcomed with open arms. There has been major town improvements/upgrades like the downtown core and the Rideau Hotel for starters. People flocked here for work. Heck they even have Shawarma and Butter Chicken joints now! Sad to see that big factory not being used for what it was intended. The money invested in this place is wild, the grow rooms were amazing and everything's up to code and inspected by the government officials, the vault and on and on. Hopefully another grower moves in...maybe the bikers will take it over. They should, at least they know how to grow good bud and they won't take off on us. Too bad the SFPD cop shop is right across the street eh?

Ya this is sad news indeed. I live in Brockvegas. Bruce was visionary. It just hasn't been the same since his departure. I never would have guessed shuttering Hershey plant in a million years. I get it. Doesn't mean I have to like it. I have been a shareholder since DEC 2016 so I've seen it all. But today, this one hurts... to close to home.

Yes, this really does hurt for the community of Smith Falls. Canopy was to be the gamechanger and at the time it looked like the town had really hit the jackpot. So much money invested only to have the rug pulled out from under them. I do wonder (after these cuts) how long before the remaining Canopy jobs will be cut.
