Investors seem to forget

that STZ Constellation Brands is the big Kahuna here and have controlled Canopy since they coughed up $5 billion C for the right.

Constellation is a huge moneymaking alcohol beverage multi-unicorn that jumped too soon to be a part of the pot biz.  Since then, I believe, that they have assessed their situation of all the pot players being in decline and taken appropriate moves to continue forward on their bigger plan.  In my mind it is debatable whether Canopy's Constellation deal elevates us to US status.

I am sure that Constellation had a part in the Canopy/Acreage deal that is the pivot point for Canopy to put down roots on US soil.

A lot of investors think that Constellation is backing off of their intentions to support Canopy and all they have to do is check out the other acquisitions and financing that Constellation has made to support their intentions.

They have been strategically positioning with hot ticket, like-minded sku companies that can provide profitable lines to the mega company that they intend to build from all of these companies.

There is a lot of stuff that has to come together for WEED to morph into Acreage  and ultimately into the new listing of Canopy USA.

Getting a SAFE bill passed in the US could be the beginning of the great American Greenrush but it is the same guys that have presented it and agreed to pass it 7 times before and couldn't get Potus's signature on it, probably because they kept adding stupid shyt to the bill instead of leaving it as a pure one-play bill.

I am not sure about Democrat Schumer's intentions after he voted no on the pot bill for veterans to study marijuana for pharma use.

US legalization is going to happen but may lose the greenrush factor if it happens one State at a time and the longer they sit on the pot and don't pass something positive in regards to legal US marijuana it also jeapordizes the Canadian LPs who sense protectionist measures to doing business in the US.

I beleive that Constellation is still all in because of their other US investments and can pull off this merger which will help to pave the way for the other LPs to go USA.

The cartel and gangs need to be given a legal in" to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem!  They play high stakes that US politians aren't willing to play which is a big part of the delay in the legalization of pot in the US.

Can't imagine that Constellation employee is still around.  Easily the worst investments of my life....  Aurora, Tinley and Canopy.  Till these companies start showing a profit, stay away.  You will have plenty of time to buy some of these stocks if they ever do make a profit.

It has been ugly across the whole spectrum of potpreneurs because there are too many players and too much supply and illegal supply in the US. Canada achieved a safe supply of inspected product but screwed up in so many ways it has the LPs looking south after watching the US MSOs making some money with cautious navigation of their laws and legal States. The constant delays by the US politicians ...more
