There is just so much uninformed

mis-information in the post below, it's hard to know where to start.

My first question is, if you want to be in the US cannabis sector - why are you invested in Canadian cannabis LPs in the hope they'll get some sort of access to the US - which is by no means assumed.

Why not just buy one of the dozens of US MSIs who have been operating in the 40 states that actually legalized - to different degrees?

Your post seems to be uninformed that the US medical cannabis business has been established for decades - you post about Florida and that for some unknown reason, Canadian LOs will get 'first shot' at the medical cannabis market?

Trulieve has approx 170 medical cannabis dispensaries in the state. O you honestly think a Canadian lp is going to go into a Republican protectionist state and take market share away? Trulieve funds the GOP in Florida.

Testing and inspection?
Seriously? The US has just as stringent and thorough standards as Canada - those dispensaries are just as heavily regulated as any in Canada.

Black market? One of the biggest complaints in Canada is the ever thriving black market - neither Canada or California have been able to stop it - and it's certainly far more sophisticated than your smuggling scenario. Black market is huge in CA - and they grow it indoors, You ARE aware that California has been legalized longer than Canada, right?

I could go on - but it seems that you're unaware of exactly where the US cannabis sector is today.

Rescheduling and SAFER have no impact on Canadian cannabis LPs. Curaleaf has annual revenues of $1.5 Billion - Canopy won't be taking much away from any existing U.S. MSO.

You want to be involved in US cannabis? But you don't buy US cannabis companys?
Why not?

A lot has happened

over the last few weeks.  Can we keep this up and what kind of news will it take to keep up this momentum.

German pharmaceutical slackening or legalization jolted Canopy to life or was it something else.

Any news that does that is allright by me!

I'm still thinking that for Canopy it is going to take Canopy completing the deal with Acreage and getting our flag planted firmly on US soil.

Canadian LPs should get first shot for medical because we are a leader in the pharma part of the industry, with out legalization laws built out of the old pharma laws and the fact that Canada did one thing right which was to properly inspect the raw material for safety and health and adulterants and all of the legal in Canada in Canada has been scrutinized by the industry's inspection agencies.

The US has over 55% black market trade which in itself is self explanatory in regards to safe supply and traceability.

If I was an American I would be picking a retailer that is sourcing Canadian pot at the pharma level and hopefully soon the rec level too.

Canada has too much supply but are getting out of the grow business because of it so doing positive things to do their part of the supply and demand issue.

The US is prime for legalizing pot by swinging the cartels and blackmarket over to legal.  Third world hot countries can grow adequate pot cheaper than the northern climes can with free heat and sunlight and are thriving because they are well established and cheaper than the good businesses that are doing it legal.

It's only fair and if Sleepy Joe is going for those votes he needs to go now and crack the whip.  Florida put it on their ballot, so there is still time.  It needs to go on ballots in all States to fix the mess they have created with their rolling out event one State at a time.

One good Federal acceptance bill that actually works with the industry than against it will trigger mercenary action against the barely solvent or unsolvent and that will lead to the biggies call to action and hopefully a level playing field for them to take their shot against beverage alcohol.

I want to believe that we are close and last weeks stock action, at least for the LPs gives me hope but I also feel that another greenrush needs the US to get it right and in a timely fashion and US politics is a joke right now, paralyzed and benign!

They can't even get it together to save the world by financing the Ukrainians who are making huge sacrifices of their countrymen to keep the madman of the world from putting the USSR together again.

So Keeler just so I understand , you do not own any Canopy shares, however you are here to warn us not to invest in Canopy but in US MSO's instead? And you are doing this from the kindness of you heart. So like our guardian angel.  By the way, the reason no one is answering your ridiculous question is that Canopy already has established a brand and a market in the US with their Wana ...more

That's what they do. They have no skin in the game. You will not see their posts on the relevant MSO boards because those forums are basically dead so there would be no reaction. My suggestion is to use the ignore function. It WORKS.

My question is if you've no intention to buy Canopy then why devote your time(all of it evidently) to this board...just say you're a short bash artist...stop trying to bait and debate. No one wants to argue with a fool...especially one with preplanned counters using cherrypicked data. Newsflash homeslice, the stock is worth what the market says its worth. You don't have to agree :-)

I do understand your thoughts. However, as is so often the case, it's all about perception, as my former boss used to say.   I think it is very much speculation.  How will the laws adapt/change in the future. Will there be rescheduling or descheduling and how long until legalization. Due to the massive price loss over the last few years, it appears that from some people CGC ...more
