Mixed EmotionsFirst, I want to express my sincere condolensces to the those who lost their family members and friends this week. It was a terrible incident that should have never happened. We all need to be vigilant about the mental state of people around us. I do not know what kind of programs WEF had in place for employees terminated during the last few years, but whatever those programs were they need to be revisited to ensure employees who are laid off get post-employment employment support by way of mental and job-search counselling and not just a severance cheque. On a more positive note, the inevitable spring turnaround in lumber is starting. Those who have been patient will be rewarded handsomely over the next few weeks.
