RE:Election resultsTimberwest, the main log seller on Vancouver Island has no mills and is owned by the BC Government pension fund and another public pension fund in Ontario. They are the big company selling logs in the log market. I doubt the government will force them to build new mills to process logs. Western can process 75% of the logs they cut and are buyers as well as sellers of logs. Any change would have a small effect on WEF imho. To stop companies from selling logs would do away with a lot of jobs in the forest sector and the BC economy can not handle any more job losses in rural BC.
