WEF stock irrational
WEF lags and falls even though the company is making huge money. PE falling, company buying back stock, somewhat a moat on very pricey western red cedar, Agreement with First Nations and part ownership. When will WEF announce profits?

Gotta be patient bro. This chaos too will end and we will see a rise in the SP. Right now there are conflicting issues that scare off institutional investors and fund managers who are too lazy to look at the fundementals. Once one does, however, the others will jump on the bandwagon. The herd mentality. Time is your friend here. GLTAL

Never fails to disappoint does it?? Does not seem to follow profits, outlook, trends or other traditional factors.Does seem to be influenced by heavy sales at irregular times for no apparent reason. Hmmmm....

Applies to sector, not just WEF.

You cant see the forest for the trees can you. Getting into bed with the first nations is the reason this stock sucks. No accountability. There going to break the union and the pension. Wait for It.

Cedar pricing should not have fallen to the same extent as commodity lumber. I agree, until lumber finds a bottom it will be a bumpy ride. Looking forward to the June NCIB info and the Q2 report.

the market knows the numbers will be huge, it also knows it's a 1 off, following q's will be good but not like q2. futures seem to be settling down and turned back up a bit yesterday and followed thru this am, lumber stocks are due for a bit of a bounce and we are getting it , at least for now, lol.

Well, look at the stock price pre-covid and the price of lumber at time. Look at the stock price now and the price of lumber. Both are down considerably from there highs but its also widely accepted the lumber will never go back to pre-covid price. that alone supports a higher price then we are at. Its all about momentum.. right now it has little, but fundamentally it looks good..

I still hold half my shares, so I do think it'll go up, I don't think it'll skyrocket when q2 is released like you do. there are good fundamentals in place but there are also the negatives I've mentioned before. I think 2.50 ish is a reasonable price target.

Holding 50k shares, bought low and haven't sold any. Kicking myself that I don't sold at 2.50, in addition it was my initial target but I was caught by surprise... Like you I think 2.50 is still a good achievable target so i'm still holding but when we get there I certainly won't be too greedy again...

Investors will pile back in once lumber prices settle. Big buybacks at low prices will pay off huge on the next run. Lumber prices are crashing to prices which are merely absurdly profitable.

Invest in Green First Forest Products (GFP on Venture). Rick Doman and his Team are forestry people and know what it means to increase shareholder value. They bought 6 sawmills and a pulp mill from Rayonier in Ontario and Quebec for $214 million which includes $75 million in inventory

GFP does look interesting, I own DBM and like it a lot, another Doman company operating in the USA which pays a very healthy divy and is quite cheap. It should do well no matter what lumber prices do.

I took a very small position in WEF again. Under 2 was my price point and it hit 1.93 or 1.94 yesterday so I grabbed a bit with the little free cash I had.. will look to add more if the opportunity presents itself.
