Canaccord

Canaccord lowering their price target to C$3.5 this morning.  Wildbrain has lost all interest from the investment community.  Eric is running this publically traded comapny like a private company...providing no explaination for why Spark is sh!tting the bed and why Q4 is such a catastrophe.  It will be another decade before this stock gets to $3 again...

Seriously?! This is actually one of WILD's best years in terms of profit and revenue. The deals WILD has done so far under Ellenbogen have been great. Q4 is three months away, no idea how you know its a catastrophe. Q3 was very, very good. btw, Sonic's rev will start coming in soon and it'll be huge. Spark has never ever been a big money maker. The whole market is tanking, WILD's ...more

Stop making excuses for this pitiful performance.   Cutting of price targets by analysts cannot be described as any thing but negative.    The CEO has failed to create any shareholder value or any institutional interest in the story.   The whole market might be down but Wildbrain has fallen further than most stocks and continues to go down...liek I said...shareholders ...more

Then sell, tank the stock price right now. I'll buy your 200000 shares on the open market. please do it now. I would rather dca now and immediately instead of waiting for 6 months to do it.

Put your 200k shares up for sale NOW. I and other will buy it. Do it NOW. So sick of you complaining and not taking any actions.

Why not just buy 200000 shares right now??  Why wait for me to sell?    Just because I do not see the world through the rose colored glasses that most Wildbrain longs have on does not make me want to crystalize a huge loss and sell here.  The hope for a takeover above $3 is still there...Fine Capital will support this soon IMO.   They are losing a ton of opportunity ...more

Fine would never agree to a $3 buyout. Most of their shares are well above that threshold. And why would Apple want Peanuts? The arrangement as it stands works for them. And why does WILD need to sell everything they own? To satisfy your need for it to be $3? The company is profitable, they aren't in any financial hardship, all of these assets represent long term investment, not a short ...more

Don't believe your own press...Fine Capital has made enormous returns elsewhere and there are practically no returns to be made here for them and they know it.  The last 4 years has proven this and the next 4 are going to be no better for their holdings.   Taking a loss here and rolling to the next potential 10 bagger is going to be a priority for them given the market sell off. ...more

Fine made a killing with SGMS and they have not reduced their holding significantly. That tells you how long-term investor they are. They have been buying SGMS since 2017. They could have sold all of it in 2021, but they did not.
Comment by Andrew1111 on May 10, 2022 2:34pm
This whole arguement is really out to lunch. Fine's been in WILD for a long time, they have control of the board. Why would they sell it at $3? Thats your obsession, their number is much higher. Why would they buy several million more shares a few months ago? Not to sell it all for $3. Seriously, at least sell part of your position, have faith in either your arguement or ours, right now your ...more

Just because Fine's number is higher does not mean they are not under pressure to move here.   Fine Capital will have other investments on their radar which they are certainly wishing they had capital to deploy into right now.  Fine's whole investment thesis at the Sohn conference in 2017 was based on Spark being a premium AVOD player.   As we now know, Spark is ...more

Whatever, there's some enormous speculation on your part. You think that Fine's unhappy with their investment? Pretty sure you have no idea what goes on in FIne's boardroom.
Comment by Alphaseeker1973 on May 10, 2022 4:09pm
I'm pretty sure you have no idea either...my point of view is a valid as another's.   My theory is as I have laid it out - Wild's management has failed at creating any value and their abyssmal failure with Spark is a pretty good reason for Fine Capital to reassess their long term here.  I am hopefuly I am correct and they insist on forcing a sale of this company because ...more

Then you should sell and take a short position. A poor stock price won't create the sale you desire, that would require a disastrous FINANCIAL performance. And if you would bother rereading the Q3 report and pay attention to the guidance provided, you'll see that they are profitable and they will remain profitable for a while.
Comment by Alphaseeker1973 on May 10, 2022 4:38pm
Yeah - I read the report and they are announcing a Q4 disaster with no explaination on why Spark is falling behind on every metric.  That is poor management and poor market interaction.

Why are you guys giving Alphaseeker1973 the time of day. Put him on ignore. He doesn’t own 200,000 shares, he doesn’t own 100 shares. Alphaseeker1973 is just bashing the stock maybe trying to pick up some cheap shares or working for someone. Think about it, why would anyone constantly talk negative about a stock they own???????????? Especially someone that they supposedly own 200,0000 shares ...more

no one is selling 200k shares on the open market right now. Btw, your break-up value doesn't make sense because everything is connected to the library. It's better to sell the whole thing together and get much more value out of it. It's just that the macro environment is really bad right now and it doesn't make sense to sell. I don't think Fine will force a sale. They would ...more
