Hypothetical scenario

Indian or Chinese offers buyout @$1.50($271M) to privatise WPX, retain WPX's management for mine operation,100% control, many years of assured potash supply.  Everyone is happy.

The fact that they are low on cash makes the sp move more certain than anything.  If management organize a buyout around $1.50, they are to be congratulated, because the enviorment is different today than it was for potash 1. TSX may 'force' WPX to suspend trading and release news(if any).  Just to level the playing field.

There is no way this stock would rally so strongly with no news forthcoming. I predict JV or buyout news after close today / tomorrow with a target sp of $1.25

Agreed. I had a sell order that went through at $0.69. Not that I'm complaining but if news of a buyout was shared I would 100% have pulled that ask along with others. If an announcement comes it will be bitter sweet.
