Another 18 mo or 5 yrs ?

For those who have been here for at least 5 yrs how much longer util we see a buyout ?

Will Paul be at the helm when a buyout happens, who knows ? I suggest this buyout could happen soon as a shock,,,  or drag out for another 5 yrs.

The sad part is,,,  a buyout could be in the $3.00 to $4.00 range if that.

3.5 to 5 years  Yes  $5.00+ U.S.  Grid Connection timeline will be confirmed.  Mine will operate with gas generators as was always the plan, temporarily... A buyout prior to this scenario will be lower.  The time to buy low is now!

Our share price will roughly continue to move with copper absent some news driver.  I suspect that we'll have some "significant" government commitment on the grid within the "18 months" of the current agreement and that Mitsubishi will have completed offtake work.  I believe there will be a joint offer between Mitsubishi and RIO and that it will be between Sooners ...more

In order for management (shareholders) to sell we need a reasonable price.  For the sake of discussion, let's assume $6.00 US.  That's 6X what it is now.  Rio knows that's what it's worth & WRN won't sell for less.  Problem is the market doesn't agree.  We (both Rio & WRN) need the SP to increase to $4.00 so that an acceptable premium can be ...more

The market does not agree right now because the market does not see the payout to be soon enough to invest now.  They likely hope to buy in on the initial run up and do well enough on where it settles.  The market is fickle and wants quick hits.  I'm more like Warren Buffet believing the market moves money from the impatient to the patient.

The market does not agree right now because the market sees Western as being unable to borrow $3b USD to fund construction, therefore we are forced sellers. If we don't sell, Casino never becomes a mine. Fixed. BTW, I missed Berkshire's latest 13Fs. What's their latest allocation to base metal developers?

Jciarke I agree, "" we are forced sellers. If we don't sell, Casino never becomes a mine."" Yes WRN is cought between a rock and a hard place, trading at the whim's of the market,,, this is a real Casino.  The dice are rolling around the craps board on this one,, eather a high pay out or a bust ! Nothing new here. Casino, since its inception was always going to be needed to be sold. Even if they had the cash they have a grand total of zero human resources to build a mine. It was never even a consideration. It is a junior explorer / developer and other than moving permitting along they are quickly running out of things to do. They will drag there feet until someone buys it. WRN will ...more
