Future Share Price
Please explain to me how Dale could sell the Penasquito Mine (sp?) for $1.6 billion when it had less than 2 million oz. of gold (gold was at $800/oz) --- and did not have copper, silver, and mylbdenum deposits, while WRN has 20 million+ oz. of gold, and 14 billion pounds of copper and we are projecting such low SP figures!

Look at its market cap just prior to the buyout and you'll see Western Silver shareholders got a 40% premium on the deal. We know what we're worth based on the resource; Newmont/Agnico/Whoever looks at us and says "ok, we'll give you C 2.10 per share (40% premium) based on your market cap." A Mexican Standoff. Who will blink first?

I sure hope that Dale isn't selling the market cap! Especially when WRN has +/- $100 billion in the ground....That would sure be idiotic and very disappointing to all shareholders.

Dale isn't selling the market cap. At the same time, Newmont et al aren't buying the sticker price on our CuEq tonnage. Hence, the stalemate we find ourselves in. That we just raised 28m tells me we're NOT the ones blinking when all is said & done.

For anyone out there looking for info on WRN, read this thread. There is more informed discussion here than anywhere I've read. I have been a shareholder sice 2002.

The board and the HNW investors control the majority of the shares and I'd be willing to bet they would all vote together on any offer so even if the rest of us were asked, it's in their hands. They have been together from the start and I'm sure they have a number they would take.

Ok - that's fine. You're saying it's a foregone conclusion they would reject a $5 /share usd offer...BUT why not at least present that offer on the table to create a "floor" in the share price? That at least shows investment community where the share price needs to go. What harm in that?

Oh, I'm not saying that it wouldn't be presented. I would think that it would and should at least for the reasons that you stated. I just don't think that we have any say. I'm ok with that by the way. I'd probably vote right along with them as well!

Retail only holds 30% of the shares outstanding. It is irrelevant what we think. We have one and I repeat ONE duty only: buy and hold and enjoy the ride.

Penasquito had silver. Lots of silver. Penasquito had both silver and gold, but silver was a really big sales point on that one. That aside, I am still a firm believer that many of you are shooting too low on the Casino target price. It must be remembered that supply/demand are a sign of the times. We now have electrifying the automobile industry. That was not where we were at 16-18 years ago.
