Specifics of Kaminak/Goldcorp Deal
Does anyone have specifics on the Kaminak/Goldcorp deal? How were shareholders treated? Complete buy? Given shares in Goldcorp? Trying to figure out how some of these issues may apply to us, if they do at all? Obviously, Kaminak was a buy out, but how were shareholders treated on that one. Note: Many former Goldcorp people now work for Newmont, although they do not seem to hold the same clout as the Australian brass.

We must ask ourselves why was kaminak trading so much closer to NPV than WRN is at the time they were negotiating with gold Corp!

Correction - the Victoria Gold rollback was 1:15. There was another stock I owned that had a 1:25 roll back. Just an observation, shareholders very seldom gain from a reverse split rollback. (bb-99)

33% premium share price as of announcement and 40% premium to prior 20 day average. NPV of coffee showed like $500m Canadian and gold Corp bought for $500m Canadian. Unless kaminak had other assets...that's a large price. Perhaps in 2016 equity valuations on gold miners higher....or kaminak leadership did better job of creating value for shareholders than WRN leadership!
