"Passive radar has the same ability to "pick up microwave energy", but it does not transmit it.
In other words it is a highly sensitive spectrum analyzer that picks up the "microwave energy" transmitted by other aircraft and then identifies their location.
So unless you are going to strap an aircraft radar to a Glock, and pump a thousand volts through it, then its pretty much fukced at being detected by a passive radar.
