Class action treasure trove Just reminiscing. Realize this was shared last year. IPVM freedom of information documented activity and the pivate doc not initially disclosed. Pretty big deal.
Knife (greater than 5" in length) Requirement:
Evolv Express is capable of detecting knives made of ferrous metals and exceeding 5” in length (no detection rate provided). Outcome: Multiple knives of different types/kinds were processed through at randomized test locations. Some knives alerted at 100%, while others were not detected. The overall detection rate was 58% in 24 walkthroughs. Evaluator Feedback: The technology can detect some knives of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses at various test locations, but the system was incapable of detecting every knife on the sensitivity level observed during the exercise.
Recommend full transparency to potential customers based on data collected. 1.3 Evaluator 1
On the sensitivity setting exercised (Setting E), knives were not consistently detected
Evaluator 2
Evolv did not reliably detect knives with small or thin blades
