Good Q3 and Nobody Cares

This board has become dead so I'll put my 2 cent in.  Revenue looks to be stabilizing nicely and earnings up over last year. $0.90 per share based on the new number of shares out (Y reported $0.60 based on the average).  That'd be <4x p/e annualized.  I've started to buy back my shares, but volume is so low. Cash balance almost $40 million again end of October.  Next year they need to do another 30% buyback of shares with the cash they are generating.  I'll be voting yes!

They should also increase the dividend because there are a lot less shares they have to pay a dividend to. I would like them to raise the dividend to at least 25 cents from the current 15 cents. I think this would have a real positive effect on the share price because the buy back of shares didn't do much.

Well it looks like maybe three people care. I bought more shares today. I listened to the conference call, which was pretty bullish, but there were no analyst questions. I see that National Bank does cover it, with a $15 target and Sector Perform rating. They forecast $4.72 in free cash flow per share in 2023, which makes me think: Why do they only have a $15 target? Maybe they didn't ...more

I don't pay too much attention to what the analyst think on most stocks I own/follow because, at least in the long term, they are mostly wrong and tend to adjust their targets to the current share price.  Most are looking pretty foolish on their price targets of all the "unprofitable tech" they were following in the past year. Yes many analysts are not much use, and just follow the trends. I'm sure Y is not a priority for this National Bk analyst either. I probably disparaged the private capital idea in the past. I think I was specifically referring to the potential of the three large hedge funds to do a buyout, as it doesn't appear to be in their mandate. But I agree it is possible. And it's certainly ...more
