It might be easier to blame that on management than to admit you bought a gas company going into a terrible price environment at the wrong time. The fact that management didn't seem to see that either doesn't suggest they are incompetent but that they cannot tell the future any better than you. Those things management can control, they are doing pretty well. And for the record I am not related to any of the senior management.
