But to me, you're either terminated - for cause or not - or you resign. I doubt that he resigned without having another senior postion to go to - and the fact that the incompetent Board at Zena hired doesn't necessarily mean that he's the superstar golden boy that some on thit bullboard suggest.
It's been almost a year since they hired a firm to headhunt a new CEO - maybe he was the only one with CPG experience who actually applied.
Coft obviously didn't want the job - he wants to go back to his old job of shorting his own stock, but it's also kind of telling as far as the position of CEO of Zena is actually an attractive option for truly high level applicant/candidates looking to advance their career with a 'quality' company - and not a sinking boat.
Oh well - all just rumour, who knows.

The only way this will be settled is for Zena to perform well after Altman takes over in September. The future will tell...
