https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40kKsoya_Ew The Village Farms CEO which is our 50/50 partner stated the following:
- the first quarter of the 1.1 million sq ft facility will be complete by March 1st (at 2:28 min mark).
- they are looking to be in production in July (at 2:50 min mark). I believe he's talking "full" production of the rest of the 1.1M sq ft.
- ACMPR license is expected by the end of February (at 5:06 min mark)
That's THIS WEEK PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!
Now hopefully it comes to fruition.
At the very least, we will see if what Michael DeGiglio says, is reliable or not.
Well it looks like Michael is reliable.
Totally awesome to now have the cultivation license.
I was looking to find a fairly accurate estimate for the current cannabis production space in Canada.
I figure it would be nice to compare Emerald's current space and its market cap with that of its competitors.
Here's a
spreadsheet I found in this reddit post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/weedstocks/comments/793mld/adding_a_production_capabilities_column_to_our/ From what I can see, the data looks to be only a few weeks old but I'm not totally sure how accurate it is.
In the "Production In Canada" tab I pulled out the following space numbers:
| CURRENT PRODUCTION SPACE | PLANNED EXPANSION SPACE | CURRENT MARKET CAP | MC / CURRENT SPACE |
Aphria | 100,000 | 1,000,000 | $2,240,000,000 | $22,400 |
Aurora | 55,000 | 800,000 | $5,210,000,000 | $94,727 |
Canopy | 852,000 | 850,000 | $5,750,000,000 | $6,749 |
Emerald Health | 23,000 | 1,200,000 | $601,000,000 | $26,130 |
Now if EMH / VFF also announce the completion of the first quarter of their 1.1 M sq ft JV this will change things to this:
| CURRENT PRODUCTION SPACE | PLANNED EXPANSION SPACE | CURRENT MARKET CAP | MC / CURRENT SPACE |
Aphria | 100,000 | 1,000,000 | $2,240,000,000 | $22,400 |
Aurora | 55,000 | 800,000 | $5,210,000,000 | $94,727 |
Canopy | 852,000 | 850,000 | $5,750,000,000 | $6,749 |
Emerald Health | 160,500 | 1,200,000 | $601,000,000 | $3,745 |
Assuming the data from the spreadsheet is somewhat accurate, Emerald looks very undervalued compared to the big 3.
