Thanks for the comments, Konzel.
I also believe there is a lot of upside here. Perhaps that's why I don't mind his remarks. And you are certainly right, like all bashers, he doesn't acknowledge positive developments. That's a very good point and something I will keep in mind. He's been here since 2008 I believe (check out his post history). The guy has probably put his kids through school on this stock.
I'm quite excited about the potential for a large oil-rich Sparky formation pool owing to what Surge has found literaly across a barbed-wire fence from their acreage. Based on the corporate presentation, it appears that material increases in reserves will result from this. However, we still do not know the size of play. They have nice large contiguous blocks of acreage in Provost which will be very beneficial if this turns out to be a fairly large pool, or if this turns out to be an area with a "fairway" of good pools.
And as for the heavy oil, low viscosity vertical well malfunctions of late, they seem to have gotten on top of that. I'm pretty sure that's what resulted in the canning of the old management team. I guess we have to read between the lines on that one. There was certainly considerable internal debate on the issue since the Primate failure. So I'm looking at that in a positive way, though a short could easily make the management shake-up look VERY negative, and neither of us would really know the truth.
