I am convinced retail investors like me will be bound to the status of rank amateur in this investing game.  Sure I make profits here and there, but times like this are the real test of investing.  Do I have the stomach to stand my ground.  I am part of the problem.  Professionals know when to buy, leave it for a year or two, then sell.  Idiots like me sell, buy, sell, buy each day, like a lunatic when at the end of the day, every instinct tells me I have purchased a great asset at a rock bottom price - why should I care if it falls a few more cents.  If I think this will be at this price forever, then shame on me - but I'm quite sure it will move up when things settle down. 

I'm going to try to shut my computer down and head to the gym - probably the best advice I can follow today.
