RE:Short positionsactually - I see it as quite encouraging. I would have figured short positions quadrupling with the current oil environment - the december 15th reading is barely a blip relative to total float which is a positive sign signalling to me that prices may have bottomed given the current environment. As a percentage of total float, TBE is doing better than some of the supposed stronger names out there.
TBE = 0.5% short positions as % of total float
Whitcap - 0.7% of total float
PennWest - 4.2% of total float
Lightstream - 3.6% of total float
etc
etc
TBE is holding its own quite well.
