I wouldn't say its meaningless nonsense, with oil down, when it stabilizes companies are going to say how can they benefit, and there will be some significant M&A activity. The fact Templeton has 1 out of 5 shares is certainly significant. It means a previous buyer is now a holder, so there will be less shares (20%) actively traded, that could be stabilizing to the SP. Templeton was a major institutional shareholder with Talisman so it is not unreasonable to "chatter" about this unusual level of TBE ownership, that's what these boards are for....chatter/talk/discussion
