RE: Lets see if China kick ou as.s this moriningif they do tank the mining stocks i am going to try to add to my positions. first its been well established that the Chinese stock markets have very little correlation to the Chinese Economy. This was simply an effort to keep skeptical money out of the market and an effort to discorage "ma and pa's" from putting their life savings into a market fueled by momentum and star filled eyes hoping to turn their life savings into millions because of the soaring markets. This Chinese market correction has absolutely nothing to do with Chinese demand for metals and minerals, etc. one week chinese ups the export taxes and next week this stock trading tax increase on fees and the market sells off? how ridiculous. i doubt we will see any sort of major sell off in the canadian and u.s. markets. just my opinions. by the way, was nice to see Cramer pump the heck out of Moly last night,,, along with Copper, Cobalt and other metals and minerals. he cited China as a major influence on the future and present demand for these commodities. Again, remember, the Chinese stock market has very little correlation with the Chinese Ecomony. That is a proven fact that i picked up on Bloomberg. glta
