Assessment

Q: I own VFF, GTII, CURA, TRUL and VRNO (5% of the portfolio and down about 8% to date). What is interesting is that recent broker targets overall are substantially higher. Are these recommendations worth considering and what is your assessment of this list ... while I wait for recovery or US to pass SAFE?

We like TRUL, VFF and CURA the most here, but would consider it a decent list. In terms of target prices, we would take these with a large grain of salt. Brokers still hope to get business and are probably being aggressive. CURA, for example, has an average target at more than 100% of current prices.

In my experience broker and analyst targets can be comforting but are of little value since they are not accountable to you. I am very overloaded with Trul, and Cura stock. I'm about as bullish as anyone can be on the American cannabis sector but I won't average down on these two anymore in case I picked wrong. As prices continue to dip I am averaging down by picking up shares of the Msos ...more

Coincidently I own all five in the question. The US MSOs are definitely the way to go due to the potential size of its customer base and given that the Canadian rollout was poorly handled. But as always, patience is a virtue. Sooner or later, our ship will come in. GLTA
