Taiga benefits who?

Taiga is owned 70+% by Tong so what Taiga does is for Tong's benefit not for the minority share owners. The "special dividend" mostly benefitted Tong.  There is no incentive to take Taiga private why spend the money to buy out the minority shares? My eyes popped out when I saw how much the top guys are getting in bonuses, those bonuses are obscene and a real slap in the face to the general shareholders and also the employees who don't get anything near to those amounts.  Grant Sali getting two million for some special services regarding Taiga Ventures (WTF is Taiga Ventures anyway) this was obviously made up to justify giving him some cashola.  There is some nepotism in that place too with kids working with their dads (Ian Tong being the most egregious recent example).  CEO Balog also has his kid working there.  Don't hold your breath expecting anything from this company if you are on the outside looking in.

incorrect sir on 2 points: Paying out a "special dividend" was split up EQUALLY as to the  percentage ownership and EVERYONE got the same 30 cents per share. The majority ownership would save MILLIONS in regulatory, accounting etc fees by taking this company from a publically traded company to a private concern. IT MAKES ZERO FINANCIAL SENSE FOR A COMPANY TO A HAVE A 30 mill

I know the divvy was shared equally but most of it went to Tong which was my point.  Also the time between the div announcement and the record date was unusally short (around a week or so) which was by design. They don't care about the filing fees and whatnot it's still cheaper to leave the structure as it is rather than buy out the float.  They don't even bother to exercise

Apparently   they  don,t   want  to  pay what it  is worth  ,  rather  buy  it   on the cheap  thru  the   NCIB   over   many years .

By my math, TBL has earned $1.22 since the last special dividend paid in early 2021-where's our share??????
