RE:RE:.8381 conversion for Tilray shares

RE:RE:.8381 conversion for Tilray shares Hi Vinny
I would be interested to know if your avg cost per share is the same in each of those accounts.
I willing to say they are not

I have 2 accounts (TFSA & CASH) with TD and my avg cost per share is different in both.
Believe your account or accounts that were closer to receiving a full share (smaller fraction) will have a lower avg cost per share
Seems to have something to do with the rounding into full shares
Others may call it the loss of or disappearnce of the fractional share

Examples:
100 shares x .8381 = 83.81 but rounded off as a full share = 83

500 shares x .8381 = 419.05 and rounded off as a full share = 419

600 shares x .8381 = 502.86 and rounded off into a full share = 502

1,000 shares x .8381 = 838.10 and rounded off as a full share = 838

1,100 shares x .8381 = 921.91 and rounded off as a full share = 921

10,000 shares x .8381 = 838 and no rounding off into a full share is needed

So what happened or happens to the .91 (1,100 shares) the .86 (600 shares) and the .81 (100 shares) in this examples or cases?

I think you can see where I'm going with this

Thought maybe the difference would maybe show up in my Cash Balance's
Similar to what takes place with dividends
So far it hasn't...at least not yet.
Have a feeling it won't either

Maybe there are some addtional calcutations to take place?
Maybe Irwin will make up the difference from the additional $37M he is getting out of the merger?

Anyways, not spending anymore time on this as "It is What It Is"
Just another lesson learned and won't be holding shares into a merger ever again unless they are 1 for 1
