quinlash, you simply do not undersatnd the US legislativeand legal systems.
Of course, states that have legalized have received a huge tax windfall. Federal legalziation or re-scheduling is just that - federal, but each state will continue to control and pass legislation on what goes on in their state, just like they do now with alcohol.
Please explain how California would further benefit from FEDERAL legalization on top of the benefit they enjoy now. California is a market larger than Canada, that has been legalzied longer than Canada - Geodcan, can you explain how this 'greenrush' you keep referring to will roll out in California?
What will change with re-scheduling (which seems more likely) is that US MSOs will get a huge tax break, access to full banking services, access to the senior exchanges - and a tranfers of instituional investment from Canadian cannabis LPs to US cannabis LPs.
As we've seen over and over, Canadian cannabis LPs will ride the coattails of the news with small, short terms hare price increases - and then fall back as everyone jumps to the US companies. Companies like Trulieve, Verano and Curaleaf will see sp increases in terms of dollars, not pennies.

Anyone looking at the tax revenue coming into those States where Cannabis is legalized can easily see that there is a financial benefit to the state, and to the country, for MJ Legalization. This excludes even commenting on job creation, income tax revenue, reduction in crime, etc etc etc, the list goes on and on.
It's shocking that Biden did so little for the Cannabis Industry in the last 4 years. The fact that so many states did it on their own is great but the market wants to see it on a Federal level. IMHO there is no doubt that such a big shift in policy is going to drive HUGE interest to this sector and the shareprice of many Cannibis Companies will benefit, along with their investors.
